We headed over to celebrate Miss D's 2nd birthday today. They had it at a park which was genius because there is no messy house for mom to clean up. They also had a Easter egg hunt for the kids (which this mamma forgot his easter basket, so the birthday girl let him borrow one of hers) with no other than ELMO. Angelo had a great time getting eggs and playing with all his friends.

Angelo had his Easter party and egg hunt at school today. He was a pro at gathering up the eggs. I'm sure we will be hiding these eggs for many weeks to come.

On a side note...Even though my dad is gone, he is sending me help from above. I met with the family that will buy the last house my dad and I ever built. I know this house was a huge worry to my dad financially. I guess he didn't want me to have to worry so he sent me a buyer so I could get it off my plate. Thanks dad. I miss you everyday.

Lola had a dr appt today and Little Miss Priss weighed a whopping 20 lbs! She has also started pointing and she did the sign language "more".

We have tried to start a tradition of having family over on Sundays for lunch. So today was our first attempt at this. We had lots of uncles and aunts over today. The kids enjoyed everyone coming over and playing with them.

I'm so far behind on this blog at this point. I'm hoping with our new iPad I can be more frequent in my postings. But at this point, for 2010, I'm just going to hit major highlights. Then maybe going forward I will keep up better.

My friends gave my mom and I a gift certificate to the spa. We decided to go ahead and use those! It's been a long week! We got done just in time to take the kids to their friend Sailer's birthday party. This mama knows how to throw a party! Today is our 5 year anniversary.  We were supposed to spend the weekend in Vegas, but due to the circumstances we are in, we didn't go.  We just had a quiet dinner at Ruth Chris in Dallas.  After we went and saw some of our friend's in the hospital who had just had a new baby.  It's funny how the circle of life works.  Someone dies and another little person is born. I don't even have a pic of us at dinner or of the sweet new baby.

This was Spring Break for most people. A time of fun in the sun, laughing and family time. All I can remember from this week was going to my mom's house every day. Staying in, watching movies (no romantic comedies) and just being. We got through this week somehow. It's crazy how life just moves on. I almost feel guilty moving on with my life. Thank goodness I have two sweet babies to tend to every day. They make me get out of bed in the morning and get moving. I guess that is a blessing in diguise.
