Snow Bunny

Friday, February 12, 2010

Another day snowed in...  Here are some more pics of the massive amount of snow!  The snow was so heavy on our trees, we ended up losing some branches.

Snowballs

Thursday, February 11, 2010

We woke up to snow today... so no school for Angelo and no work for daddy!  We were all home today to enjoy each other and the snow.  We finally got all bundled up (with the gear we have... clearly we are not equipped for snow!) and headed out for some playtime and pictures.  I was showing Angelo how to make and throw snowballs and of course, the only one that actually makes contact hits Angelo square in the face!  Ooops... Bad mommy.  After wiping him snow and tears, he was back to running around like a crazy person.

Valentine's Party Mom's League

Wednesday, February 10, 2010

We rushed around all morning to get ready for the Mom's League Valentine's Party.  I was dreading taking both kids.  Lola is so hard.  She just wants to get down and crawl and she can't!  Poor baby.  Mommy always has to hold her because she refuses to sit in a stoller... Lucky me!  But the party was super cute and Angelo had a great time.  At one point he ran up to me, almost out of breath, to say, "Mommy... I have fun.  I do again!"  Melt my heart.  Love that boy.  Makes it all worth it.

Angelo standing by McKenna.  With a sucker in hand, as usual!
This guy was from The Little Gym in Southlake and he did an amazing job.  They sang, walked liked dinosaurs, crawled around on the ground.  Angelo loved it!  We need him at our next b-day party!

Lola Stat

I took Angelo to school today and rushed over to see the kid's pediatrician for Lola.  I thought she had a ear infection, but turned out to just be drainage.  You just never know.  I know the time I don't take her, it will be something.  But you always feel like the crazy mom who takes their kid in at any little sniffle to find out nothing is wrong.  I'm sure the doctor thinks I'm crazy.  Anyways, Miss Lola is weighin in at 18.13lbs.

1st Official Playgroup

Monday, February 8, 2010

Well, we finally got around to joining the mom's league around here and today is our first official playgroup at Tara's  house.  Of course, in true Tara-style her house was decked out in Valentine's attire for the kids.  I hate not having my camera!  Here are the only shots I got... on my iphone! YIKES!  Angelo was inhaling a heart shaped Krispy Kreme donut for McKenna's b-day.

Lola enjoying Lincoln's jumper.  Wouldn't be still so I could actually get a picture!

Superbowl Extravaganza

Sunday, February 7, 2010

Today was another fun filled Renda family gathering. We went over to see aunts, uncles and cousins (OH MY!) at Big Rudy's in the morning so they could get their fix of Angelo and sweet little Lola (since they had not seen her yet).

We headed over to Oscar's house to watch the superbowl and play.  We only made it to halftime before Lola started her meltdown.  We ended up watching the second half in the comfort of our own PJs on the couch.  Best way to watch football in my opinion!  We will miss all the family.  So glad they were able to make it down.  Now it's our turn to go up there to NJ!

Renda Family Gathering

Saturday, February 6, 2010

We woke up this morning and headed down to Mandy and Frank's to play with some of the cousins that were in town.  Of course, I didn't bring my camera??  But Angelo had a blast playing as usual.  That evening we celebrated my father-in-law's birthday with a grand ole celebration at Oscar's new casa.  We actually took Angelo since there would be other kids there, but left Lola back at home because it was past her bedtime!

Get out and Play!

Friday, February 5, 2010

Today was a busy day!  I've been wanting to get Angelo into some kind of sports... so today we tried Soccer and Baseball... back to back!

Soccer Tots was first at 9am.  Angelo had a blast and the teacher was great.  Didn't realize it was parent participation... so I had Lola in my arms and had to play soccer and run around with Angelo...  I had to call my dad and get him to come up there and help me with Lola so I could play with Angelo.

Next was Lil' Sluggers.  This required way more patience than my fiesty little 2 year old has... so it was a debacle... at one point he threw himself on the ground in a fit... NICE!

So, now it's lunchtime.  We had planned on meeting Katie, McKenna and Jace at McDonalds.  All went well, until sweet little McKenna got accidently locked in her car... So, one quick phone call to Southlake Fire Department brought out an ambulance, fire truck and a locksmith!  She was out in about 15 min.  Not the fastest ever, but it was a cold day.  Snapped a quick shot from my phone to document the activity.

We ended the night by going out to dinner with almost the ENTIRE Renda family in town to celebrate birthdays at Del Frisco's in Dallas.  Good food and fun times were had by all.  But this mama was ready for some R&R!
